Kooka is a Canadian web design studio founded by Julia and Mick Levin. Two different personalities, two different kinds of expertise, but one team and one family. We live in Hamilton, Ontario. We work with two languages – English and Russian.

Web Design

We build web sites from scratch, and we rebuild old sites too.

Step 1. First what we do is listen to our client. Then we Design a concept of a new site, according to the client’s requirements and preferences. Would it be a personal blog or corporate site, a restaurant business or a fitness club, we design it to fit exact needs of our client. We sketch a modern look. We find the best hosting. We suggest and advise on appealing domain names. We present this design package to a client, and we refine the details between revisions to deliver the best model.

Step 2. Once our client approves a design, we Build the site. We use various modern frameworks and technologies: WordPress, Drupal, JavaScript, jQuery, Flash, PHP and MySQL, ASP and SQL Server. We use great design and coding tools, we add our creativity and expertise. We test the site in all major Web browsers. We protect the site from hackers and spammers. We add visitor counters and integrate with social networks.

Step 3. When it’s ready to be seen by the world, we Launch the site. The finished product opens to all visitors. We add the site to search engines, and register it in the banner networks. Finally, we offer the technical support for the site, and help with managing the content.

Graphical and Media design

We create logos, business cards, enhance photos, and compose video. We add photo galleries and slide shows with contemporary effects. Video content could be hosted on client’s server or integrated with YouTube.

What our client does then? Simply enjoys the new feathers!
